HSUPA

An evolution of the WCDMA 3G wireless standard, High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) provides higher data speeds in the uplink, up to a peak rate of 5.76 Mbps, as well as improving the spectral efficiency and latency of the uplink.

Together with HSDPA, HSUPA enables new high speed, uplink-intensive wireless broadband features and services for consumers, such as video conferencing, voice over internet protocol (VoIP), sending and receiving high resolution pictures, video files or large emails with attachments and interactive gaming with multiple players on mobile devices.

Livanto® ICE8020 is upgradeable through software to support HSUPA.
